I will always have a deep love and respect for Don! Him and Rose were our across the street neighbors that became family. We literally met due to Vietnam Veteran sticker on his truck. My boys seen it and went over shook his hand, thanked him for his service, told him he wasn’t going to touch anything, then proceeded to unload the trailer for him.
Go rest high on that mountain Dad, find my Michael and go fishing! I’m sure he was there to shake your hand again and welcome you!
With love always!!
I knew him when he was a millwright at the Depot back in the 70’s. He was a great guy. He will be missed. God Bless.
Don you have been such an amazing father figure and so loving toward all of us kids and family. You’ve taught us all so much and would be a friend we could talk to for hours. You have such a beautiful heart and I know we are all so unbelievably lucky to have had you in our lives. I knew from day one you were meant to be in our family. I will always love you and have so many amazing memories that I cherish. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so kind and thoughtful of everyone (animals included). From installing a kitty door on the garage to always having mini in your arm. It shows what a great man you are. I love you!
Don was a great Step Father to me and my brother Mike. Will always cherish a lot of memories with Don and all he did for us .
Don was a “Great” Step Father to my little brother Mike and myself. I will always remember and cherish all the good times and adventures that I shared with Don.
Don was a “Great” Step Father to my little brother and I. Don was a mentor and taught us a lot about mechanics and how to fix just about anything. I will never forget the many adventures that our family shared with Don from arrow head hunting to the many camping trips we took. Don was always there even though he and my mother was divorced Don came to my aid when I needed help in returning my sons remains back to Tooele after a tragic river rafting accident at 17 years old in 1995. Don drove non stop from Tooele to Medford , Oregon in his van so he could help transport my son back to Tooele for burial. I haven’t to talked to Don for about a year but I am thankful to God for bringing Don into my life, he will be missed.
My condolences to your family. I’ll keep you close in my prayers.
Don has been an example to me in many ways all my life. I tagged along on many fishing trips and hunting trips. He taught me so much. We served overlapping tours in Viet Nam. Looking back I realized the Army never gave him the recognition he deserved. He watched out for every one. Don was a best friend and brother.
I didn’t know you Don. I do know that you must have been a loving person. My Rose finally found the love she had been looking so long for. Rose I’m so sorry for your loss. Love you and your family always.
